This temple is dedicated to Ukyo Tamagawa. Ukyo served the first lord of
Matsushiro, Nobuyuki Sanada in his later life and accompanied day and night
until Nobuyuki died at the age of 93. In front of the main hall there are
magnificent Wisteria flowers that bloom in early May. With a reservation
you can eat a local delicious delicacy called Hitokuchi Oyaki (bite sized
Oyaki).
