Former Higuchi Family Residence 【Nagano City Cultural Heritage Property】
This residence is located in the middle of the samurai residential town near the Sanada residence. The thatched roof of the main building, the garden and pond all show the beauty of a senior samurai house of the Matsushiro domain. The Higuchi family served a key post of the Matsushiro domain in the Edo period. Various events such as Tousenkyou (fan throwing game) can be experienced here along with exhibitions on Matsushiro's history.
