This temple was built as a Sanada family temple in the Edo era. In the
graveyard there are tombstones of lords and memorial towers of the ancestors
of the Sanada family. Several mausoleums have been moved, but two remain.
The structure, carvings and colors of the mausoleum for Nobuyiki Sanada
are splendid. It has been designated an Important Cultural Property.
