Former Maejima Family Residence 【Nagano City Cultural Heritage Property】
The main building was built in 1759. It is the oldest residence in existence of the Matsushiro domain. It is a perfect example of a residence of a middle class samurai belonging to the Matsushiro domain.
The explanations on buildings and services such as tea ceremonies by the volunteers are available here. In addition, we have the events to explain traditional culture such as the game of Go, Ikebana and New Year decorations here.
