This old station of the Nagano Electric Railway opened in 1922. It was
a base for logistics in the era when the silk industry flourished. It has
been loved as the entrance to Matsushiro, however the Yashiro line was
abolished at the end of March 2012. The remaining station gives you a sense
of the years gone by.
